ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who makes up the JC Booth Athletic Booster Club?

The JC Booth Athletic Booster Club is all of us — the parents, students and families of JC Booth Middle School. The simple fact is that, if WE don’t make it happen, no one else will !!!

Q: Why have an Athletic Booster Club at JC Booth?

Many parents don’t realize it, but our school’s athletic program does not receive ANY funding from the Fayette County School System, the Georgia Lottery, or state or federal funds.

All funding of essentials for our athletic program comes from the individual Activity Fee that is paid each time a JC Booth student participates in a sport at the school.

These funds go towards purchasing & maintenance of essential athletic equipment, maintenance of athletic fields and facilities, uniform purchases, coaches pay, officials pay, and other essentials required for the basics of operating an athletic program. That doesn’t leave very much money for doing anything to try to improve and enhance our athletic program so that our Warrior student-athletes can be competitive with the other programs in the county.

This is where the JC Booth Athletic Booster Club plays an important role in trying to help.

Q: How does the Athletic Booster Club help?

Through a number of fundraising efforts, we’re trying to make a difference by providing additional items needed by our athletic teams in order for them to enhance their playing skills and to improve their athletic experience at JC Booth in general. Our primary sources of income at this time are:

1. Athletic Booster Club Membership Fees
2. Sale of the Warrior Discount Card
3. Concessions Stand Sales (Basketball, Wrestling & Volleyball events)

Our goal is to help our student-athletes to compete at their best and to establish a first-class experience for all our young Warriors.
